Sophie and Jamie

It means so much that I saw these two get married...

Where do I begin? Sophie and Jamie, you have honestly become friends over these past three years. Sophie enquired with me when I still had my day job, but my last day was creeping up. Her enquiry was so bubbly, full of energy and it was EXACTLY the sign I needed to know I was making the right choice to leave my day job to follow my dreams… well, three years later I finally got to see these absolutely lovely humans make their vows in the back garden of Sophie’s family home, and if couldn’t have been more special.

There are always clients that you become friends with over time, but Sophie is truly so wonderful and a genuine friend. Equally lovely are her family, her mum and dad I actually ended up meeting before the couple when their wedding was cancelled last year. I photographed them in their garden to celebrate the absolutely incredible work they’d put into tending to it before the wedding (aka ‘Wedstock’) was cancelled. Well, if ever there was a way to make up for lost time, yesterday was it

The day was full of: sunshine, torrential downpours, a trip to Sophie’s local beach for couple photos, one scraped car bumper (I’m legit going to buy a 4x4 soon!), cuddles from Genghis the cat, missing trousers, the last Clacton wine, gales, pockets of sunshine, handmade cakes, an army of pottery favours… the list goes on. Basically it was a right corker and I couldn’t be more grateful to have been a part of it all.

Sophie and Jamie, in a nutshell, you’re total legends. Thank you for yesterday. 💜
