John & Amy

What a beautiful wedding this was!

John and Amy gave me the absolute pleasure of photographing their intimate wedding ceremony at Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe, North Devon, and although it bucketed it down with rain on and off all day (and just had to be the one day of the week sandwiched by warm, sunny days!) we didn't let the weather put a dampener on our spirits.

The couple came all the way from Essex to hold their truly beautiful seaside wedding at the gorgeous cliff-side venue that is Tunnels Beaches. Built in 1820, this venue is tucked away on the rocky coastline. The wedding venue itself is actually a bit of a historical marvel, in that tunnels were carved, and the venue is built into the cliff face, which is now known as the 'gentleman's beach'. You can still explore the 'ladies' side of the beach too and get to see the rock pools (which sadly we didn't because of the weather and tide!) but we did get to take some fun photos with beach chairs!

The entire day was super lovely, and although these are only a small preview of the happenings of the day, I think they show just how gorgeous it was despite the rain. But you know what? The perfect wedding isn't about amazing weather, it's about marrying the love of your life, and enjoying your day with those you love.

So, thank you John and Amy, for entrusting me with documenting your beautiful day! As always, if you're not fed up of me yet, you can join my newsletter, here, too!

Love as always!
